hope steve is having fun at nosh downunder... cheryl has written this beautiful prayer for it, perfect for an ending to a worship service/gathering.

maybe in this there has been a glimpse of the kingdom
a foretaste
a hint
a promise
let it hold you and let it send you
so you will never be at peace
until all are fed
until all know home
until all are free
until justice is done
until peace is the way
until grace is the law
until love is the rule
until God’s realm comes
until God’s realm comes
until God’s realm comes…

I would suggest that the realm of Real God is always already here, and always has been, and always will be----except that we to self possessed to notice the fact.

Beautiful prayer. A beautiful sentiment of restlessness till true justice comes. Seems a bit nit picky to quibble of the "God's realm" portion. Much of this is poetic. The grasp of the imagery is powerful. True, God's kingdom is here now...just waiting to break in. But we know too that "God's realm" has not yet been fully realized. In that sense for sure the prayer is powerful. Usher in the kindgom through acts of redemption. So let it be!
