CROSBY beach, please Jonny. Corby is in deepest East Midlands and has a swimming pool but no tides. Crosby beach is where I played in the oil slicks as a kid and still often stand shoulder-to-shoulder with The Gormleys staring out towards Ireland contemplating.

Isn't there a building covered in grass? I wanna see the building covered in grass!

Jonny,

You take such lovely photos! I expect that some of them will soon start showing up on book covers (or maybe they already have).

The thing I really like about this piece of work by Gormley is watching people who suddenly discover the iron figures when walking across the bridge. I get the bus from Waterloo regularly into town and you see people looking and pointing to attract others' attention. You can go right up to the two figures on the bridge and then you become aware of the others watching you. The scale of it is amazing.

Of course, what happens if one of these figures takes a header off the building/bridge they're standing on?

worship tricks

  • series 1series 2series 3

where i come across creative ideas, liturgies, movies, music tracks, service outlines or anything that strikes me, i add them as worship tricks. i started these in april 2002 when i first began blogging and they have built up over the years so that i am now on the third series. this has proved a pretty popular feature of the blog.
