I can't believe you haven't found TED til now Jonny. The talks are amazing. 20 mins to give the talk of your life. Just like Sunday mornings eh!

I try to watch a TED talk every day and the best ones are always the ones you think will have nothing to do with you or will be dull. JJ Abrams is great on mystery, Ken Robinson on creativity and education... There are so many amazing people and brilliant ideas. Clay Shirky is even on TED talking about some of his ideas that became Here Comes Everybody.

Well worth 20 mins of your life.

I agree, TED talks are fantastic! I try to listen to them about 3 times a week and have been blown away by the creativeness and variety of ideas that are out there in the world these days.

Some of the talks are much shorter than the "18 minutes" they are given to speak on their one idea. In fact, some of the "talks" are songs which only last a few minutes.

One of my favorites is a short humor piece about 4am. Makes me laugh every time...

Cracks me up every time.

i ration myself to one TED talk a week - makes for some interesting entries in my learning journal which i never really have time to blog about but always feel very satisfied by - i find them to be very mind expanding, especially the ones i think i won't really have any interest in !

worship tricks

  • series 1series 2series 3

where i come across creative ideas, liturgies, movies, music tracks, service outlines or anything that strikes me, i add them as worship tricks. i started these in april 2002 when i first began blogging and they have built up over the years so that i am now on the third series. this has proved a pretty popular feature of the blog.
