his line about tanks being beaten into tractors was a nice touch. his humour was uplifting.
what a stunning event full stop.
obama's speech left me feeling that change was possible. next day he halts trials at guantanamo. already there is change... and boy, aretha can still sing! how old is she? great sound.

I wish now that I had gotten up at 3 am to watch the whole thing. I cried watching this. Is it really possible that we finally have a world leader that will act on the side of love and inclusion?
These are powerful days. IS it possible, Lord, that we are in the days when we as a whole world will turn from our foollishness, our hate, our fighting and murdering and that we will turn toward you?
