A caution for Anthony Worrell-Tory, 10 months in a young offenders' institution for a teenager who stole two left-footed trainers from a shop in Wolverhampton.

George Monbiot can often be cynicism personified, so it is difficult to read anything he has written without that expectation.

But working on the basis that there is definitely some truth in what he says here, what is the best way to respond if you believe another world is possible? Is it preferable to work within the political structures to break them down (as does UK Uncut, which, incidentally, appears at Number 13 on Accountancy Age's list of the most powerful financial players of 2012 – although, it must be added, George Osborne appears at Number 1)? Or is it preferable to work completely separately from the political structures, as does the Transition Town Movement? Discuss.

worship tricks

  • series 1series 2series 3series 4

where i come across creative ideas, liturgies, movies, music tracks, service outlines or anything that strikes me, i add them as worship tricks. i started these in april 2002 when i first began blogging and they have built up over the years so that i am now on the third series. this has proved a pretty popular feature of the blog.
