i have finally got round to listening to emerg::podcast put together by red herring. each programme lasts 30 minutes and a large part of each is an interview interspersed with some music tracks (some courtesy of proost). it's good, well worth a listen. it's actually quite a good intro to the whole emerging church thing... one of the things i like is that red herring seems committed to making it global - i hope he manges to sustain that emphasis.
cms youth team monthly podcast trax16 goes live today
the cms youth team are plotting a youth podcast. they are looking for input, ideas and so on. and there are ipod nanos to be won so tell any teenagers you know...
following the popularity of mark berry's desert meditation, he has started a podcast of his meditations. no 2 is dreams. due to the complications of copyright and music mark has created his own chilled track to go with it and it's excellent - a man of many talents! along with the outlines of what mark does at their midweek contemplative space it's a great resource.
the podcast is also a way mark hopes to generate a bit of support for his ministry so once he adds a donate button go and give him some support...
i have added the feed to his podcast into my list in the sidebar. (note to self: update the worship trick with his meditation so it includes the podcast feed)...
i feel like i've hardly got my head around podcasting but seems like video podcasting is also going to be all the rage (though requires good bandwidth)...
ben hanbury gives a round up of vj podcasting
audiomission is the new cms podcast. the easiest way to follow a podcast is to paste this feed into itunes or the equivalent
In this very first edition of Audiomission you’ll hear a special extended report from BBC Songs of Praise presenter Pam Rhodes as she discovers how CMS has been involved in the relief effort since the Asian tsunami struck. Anita Matthews, CMS’s national children’s work adviser, will bring you a faith reflection on the tsunami, and you’ll hear the latest CMS news headlines from Trevor Smith.
later in the year there will also be a youth podcast
if you like your music experimental, ambient, post rock (yes apparently it is a genre) then subscribe to the kranky records podcast. october's was a taste of their fall/autumn releases. december's is a dip into the archives. i came across kranky records because of the amazing dead texan album. i've added the kranky podcast feed to my list of podcasts. makes me think that maybe we should do an occasional proost podcast?...
if you've not listened to a podcast before the easiest way is to subscribe in itunes. simply go to the advanced menu and click subscribe to podcast and type the feed address in.
centering from the center is a weekly podcast from joanthan normon with weekly 10 minute meditation/prayer... nice idea
