i have used the brick testament to illustrate sermons and also as a cool slide show for during a coffee break at a church service. I just copied the pictures off the site and put them together in a powerpoint slide show. Really simple and people loved it.

dont want to put a dampner on things, but some of the stuff on their site is a little in bad taste...check out for example: http://www.thereverend.com/brick_testament/the_law/beastiality/lv18_23a.html
..and there are many others, in fact, the whole site is a bit of a piss take. i remember 'emerging minister' posting over his dilema about the site a while ago. just wonder what others think of this?

i assumed it was meant to be a piss take or at least tongue in cheek... but still think it's hilarious. no dilemma for me.

i agree that the idea is hilarious, it's quirky and original, but i feel some of them are in very bad taste...i found out today that a youth worker i know used them in a talk and then got into bother when the young people started looking them up. some of them make me squirm, i'm not going to link to them, but i suggest anyone that's reading this has a good look round the whole site and you'll see what i mean

where i come across creative ideas, liturgies, movies, music tracks, service outlines or anything that strikes me, i add them as worship tricks. i started these in april 2002 when i first began blogging and they have built up over the years so that i am now on the third series. this has proved a pretty popular feature of the blog.
