darryl shared this flash file he had put together with the youthmultimedia forum. it's about an 8mb flash file with U2 track Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own. i checked i could blog it and he said that was fine so go and downlaod it. it speaks for itself... thanks darryl!
i had a conversation with someone today asking about how you get this kind of file to download. i use firfox on mac - the easiest way for me is to click on the tools menu and select page info. there is then an option that says media and it lists all media on that page. highlight it and then there is an option to choose save as and voila - that alone is reason to switch to firefox if you haven't already :-)

Thanks for the link jonny - I'm PC based and use a free browser called Maxthon which is worth checking out - it has a plugin called 'flashsave' which allows for you to right click and save as swf - lots more interesting features, check it out.

Hadge - Maxthon sounds good, so I've downloaded it, but can't seem to get the 'flashsave' option. Any suggestions?

Hey jonny, you've added my little presentation as a worship trick?! That's pretty cool ... I hope it helps someone else to get stuck into Flash.

hey johnny with a 'h' ... I haven't tried to embed a flash presentation into ppt, but when they wanted to use my flash presentation "Sometimes ..." at church the guy organising it requested it be exported out of Flash MX 2004 as an AVI file. Then it was pretty easy to drop in.

darryl - thanks for the advice. btw - sneaky windows xp has the very software available to do it hidden away on the hard drive, just had to hunt online and found some step-by-step help... works great! thanks for the video, we'll be using it soon on the theme of individualism/community.

Yeah I can't get it to work either, I'm just a regular Internet Explorer and Windows 98 user, and am having no luck at all.
