Sounds intriguing...how might one get some exposure to what you'll be teching on here in vancouver canada?

the topic of creative worship in my context is something the staff at our multi-congregational church always dialogue through

cheryl

these sound great.

still plotting a way to get you to do something like this here. disappointingly, most of the potential plans seem to revolve around winning the lottery.

I'm organizing a improvisational worship experiment Feb 17th, and we'll be working together with arts/music facilitators from 9 area communities to facilitate a grand, Spirit-led offering. We'll be employing every element/approach/art form we can think of in order to instigate widespread inclusion. Experimental hip-hop/dance artists from San Diego, Soul-Junk(http://www.myspace.com/souljunkblaster) will be coming up for it to join the party. I'm excited.

I'm very interested in your train of thought re: faithful improvisation. My mind's been working from that as an imperative for about 10 years now, because of an improv-songwriting group i joined back then. The inherent freedom and inclusion in improv (as an art form) is staggering. It would seem that if it were successfully implemented in communities, there'd be a whole new renaissance, not just alternative, but across the board.. Is this what your workshop will be addressing?
