chelsea deservedly won against valencia in a tense second leg in the european quarter final of the champions league with a last minute goal from michael essien. this sets up the enticing prospect of a semi final against liverpool (assuming they don't throw away a three goal advantage tomorrow night). man united thrashed roma so it is looking like 3 of the last 4 places will go to premiership sides...

glad we got Watford, no pushovers, but don't relish facing Blackburn, think it will be the better game, wish both games were on the Saturday, could have been a good afternoon with the Grand National in the middle
