I did not know John O'donahue. I heard his interview (several times) with Mary Hines on CBC (Canada)and was inspired. Besides his thoughts about the Eucharist, and Death, the notes that resonated with me were his thoughts on Beauty. He spoke of Plato and Plotinus, both of whom I studied as an art student many years ago at the University of Calgary. It seemed I left those scholarly pursuits too long ago when I heard him speak, and his words reafirmed the belief of how important our every moments' intent is when he said or quoted, " make your gaze beautiful, and Beauty will come back to meet it" The world has lost a great influence for the good by his death. My condolences to those who feel his loss the most. I didnt know him but I sense he will bring delight and soulfulness to those he meets on the other side.
