i have been invited to contribute to musicademy - a worship blog/community. the posts there will be occasional and mainly things on worship i have reflected on here...
it's interesting that there seems to be a growing restlessness about contemporary worship from within the communities that have led it not just from those of us who have taken a different approach - see for example this piece bored with contemporary worship? or this piece on worship songs (i love the fact that the url is spelled brain maclaren!!!)
What do you think of this song? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbtkhB3cFGs
It's particularly about the industry and how contemporary sung worship has become so focused on the worship leader. But perhaps it's another sign of this restlessness?

Thanks for blogging my 'bored' article. Have you had a look at our site - http://www.engageworship.org ? Would love to know what you think...
We're also running a stream at the LST summer school for folks who want to spend four days carving out some new space for innovative worship - sessions on developing indigenous expressions, worship and technology, worship and the unchurched, worship and real life (more 'round table' dialogue than upfront monologue). http://www.worshipconnect.org or http://www.engageworship.org/news Might be of interest to some folks here...
