Mary Keenan

I read these ideas with great longing. Although I am about your age (probably older), I have young children. So the idea of slowing down or stopping some things feels like a dream. Would love to read a great book without falling asleep.

Still, I love reading these and other ideas for a more balanced life with time for reflection and prayer. For now, the best I can do is less unbalanced! An annual women's retreat is a huge lifesaver. And when all else fails, having a sense of humor is sometimes the best spiritual practice.

Thanks Mary. Life with kids is a totally different season of life - it's true! I wish someone had warned me that there would be no time then either. We have reached a stage whe our lads are now graduated or at university so we have a lot more freedom in terms of time, going places etc. It's just weird how easy it is to fill it up with work and e-mails!!

where i come across creative ideas, liturgies, movies, music tracks, service outlines or anything that strikes me, i add them as worship tricks. i started these in april 2002 when i first began blogging and they have built up over the years so that i am now on the third series. this has proved a pretty popular feature of the blog.
