as promised following the last post about the pioneer student tiles this year's one is above. as ever it take s a new turn. iain explains it...
The carved path represents the journey of the pioneer. This year's path will appear more like an archeologist’s trench on the site of the tile. This is pioneering as a work of excavation searching for wisdom. The treasure is represented by a splash of gold leaf - perhaps spilling over the edge of the excavation into the landscape.
