just back from a holiday in japan and doing some work in south korea. it was a fabulous trip. it was great to have three weeks away, wonderful to share the journey with jenny and spend some time together, amazing to catch up with friends we haven't seen for a long time in japan (lowell and kande), brilliant to experience cultures so different from our own and see some of their sights and taste their food, inspiring to hang out with people involved in teaching mission from countries all over the world, and inspiring to hang out with the anglican diocese of seoul as they seek to explore developing something like pioneer training of their own. i took quite a lot of photos in japan. i didn't take many in seoul other than of a conference as i was so busy there. but over the next few weeks i'll gradually add them to flickr and post some here, laced with a few reflections maybe. the only down side was missing out on the olympic action - team gb sounded amazing - good to be back though to see mo win his double double!
i called this photo two loves because in japan there are vending machines everywhere. and the doorway is an entrance to japanese baths which also are very popular. in japan and korea we visited the baths. single sex all in naked but a great experience!
